  • We value stewardship of the earth's health, pledging to accountably and efficiently preserve and manage its resources
  • We believe that it is our duty to be effective stewards of the financial resources entrusted to us

Plans for 2018

In 2018 Mercy Corps' Lesvos Sub-offices, as a UNHCR implemented partner, will focus on the Cash Program under which prepaid cards are distributed to beneficiaries. The ultimate purpose of this program is to provide assistance to address the basic needs of the most vulnerable Persons of Concern and to ensure that they are able to maintain a dignified and secure life for their families.

Powered by

This platform is powered by Asterias-Starfish Foundation. We are trying to let every organisation have a clear view of the needs on the island of Lesvos. To give them access to funding when they haven't any, and give to the donors the full information they need, when they want to offer their help.

Let's work together, to cover the needs of this humanitarian crisis, through a transparent platform

About us

Matching needs and offers.

Asterias-Starfish Foundation being on the refugees' crisis field for a long time, came face to face with emergency needs, lack of information and communication. Even now, when the flow is not so big, actually nobody knows the needs of the others. So many times, items are remaining in warehouses and refugees still need them. On the other hand, donors want to offer their help in this refugee crisis, but they cannot find where to channel this help.

We are launching this platform to help us to work more efficiently.  To let every organization have a clear view of the needs on the island of Lesvos. To give them access to funding when they haven't any, and give to the donors the full information they need, when they want to offer their help.

Let's work together, to cover the needs of this humanitarian crisis, through a transparent platform.
