Description

Watershed Foundation is a grassroots NGO which focusses on providing and improving WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) facilities for vulnerable people. Over the last eight months we have been working in Moria, and despite our small size we have become the main WASH actor inside the camp.

In that time, we've transformed the toilets and showers in Moria: when we arrived in November, only a handful were working, and now the facilities are in a much better state. We need more people to join us so we can keep up this work, and work towards acceptable standards for the thousands of people living in Moria.

We are looking for hard-working people who have some construction/plumbing skills and experience to join our team of medium-to-long-term volunteers. We have an immediate need, but this will also be ongoing, so you are welcome to apply for upcoming months.

This platform is powered by Asterias-Starfish Foundation. We are trying to let every organisation have a clear view of the needs on the island of Lesvos. To give them access to funding when they haven't any, and give to the donors the full information they need, when they want to offer their help.

About us

Matching needs and offers.

Asterias-Starfish Foundation being on the refugees' crisis field for a long time, came face to face with emergency needs, lack of information and communication. Even now, when the flow is not so big, actually nobody knows the needs of the others. So many times, items are remaining in warehouses and refugees still need them. On the other hand, donors want to offer their help in this refugee crisis, but they cannot find where to channel this help.

We are launching this platform to help us to work more efficiently.  To let every organization have a clear view of the needs on the island of Lesvos. To give them access to funding when they haven't any, and give to the donors the full information they need, when they want to offer their help.

Let's work together, to cover the needs of this humanitarian crisis, through a transparent platform.
