About DocMobile

DocMobile operates in Patras, Athens, Lesvos, Thessaloniki and Bangladesh. We offer primary healthcare to vulnerable populations, refugees and Greeks alike.

On Lesvos, DocMobile provides healthcare in a small space at One Happy Family.  This is walk-in clinic where anyone who wants can come and ask to see a doctor. There are usually two GPs, and sometimes other specialists such as dentists and pediatricians.

In addition, DocMobile works with other healthcare providers to offer coverage to hotels and other accommodation in which people of concern are living.

DocMobile has also run a project where a midwife provides workshops for young mothers and small children at Little Happy Family.

Plans for 2018

In 2018 DocMobile will continue to provide primary healthcare at One Happy Family and to people of concern living in hotels.

This platform is powered by Asterias-Starfish Foundation. We are trying to let every organisation have a clear view of the needs on the island of Lesvos. To give them access to funding when they haven't any, and give to the donors the full information they need, when they want to offer their help.

Let's work together, to cover the needs of this humanitarian crisis, through a transparent platform

About us

Matching needs and offers.

Asterias-Starfish Foundation being on the refugees' crisis field for a long time, came face to face with emergency needs, lack of information and communication. Even now, when the flow is not so big, actually nobody knows the needs of the others. So many times, items are remaining in warehouses and refugees still need them. On the other hand, donors want to offer their help in this refugee crisis, but they cannot find where to channel this help.

We are launching this platform to help us to work more efficiently.  To let every organization have a clear view of the needs on the island of Lesvos. To give them access to funding when they haven't any, and give to the donors the full information they need, when they want to offer their help.

Let's work together, to cover the needs of this humanitarian crisis, through a transparent platform.
